He earned his bachelor degree in Molecular biology from the University of Denver. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Texas at Houston.
After completion of his neurosurgical training, he fulfilled an active duty military commitment in the United States Air Force where he was based at San Antonio Military Medical Center caring for active duty service members and their families. During his time in the military, he served a tour of duty in Afghanistan caring for Afghan National and U.S troops. He has enjoyed the San Antonio Community so much that he decided to remain in the city after completing his military service where he can offer his skills and expertise.
Family is very important to him. When he's not taking care of patients, he enjoys spending his time with them. Some of their favorite things to do together include swimming, hiking, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
